Genuine Fujitsu 9352446276 Indoor Remote Control (AR-REW1E) is the wireless remote control, the way the system is switched on and set. Without it the unit cannot be told what mode, temperature or fan speed to run. The genuine Fujitsu part is the one designed for this system, so it works as the original did.
